On September 16, Forbes released its annual ranking of Russia’s Top 200 private companies (see Issue #10, 2019). The list includes Tashir Group with a revenue of 172 billion rubles in 2018, which is 4.9% higher than a year earlier.

The publication emphasized the diverse nature of the group’s business operations: “Bringing together over 200 companies and owned by Samvel Karapetyan, Tashir generates most of its revenue in development and real estate. The group leases properties in its RIO malls, manages movie theaters and restaurants, supplies electricity, engages in construction and wholesale trading, installs lighting on building facades, etc. Also, Tashir invest in health care projects.”

Tashir Group has been on the Forbes list for the past 11 years. The publication ranks companies without state or foreign investors by their revenue.
