Tashir Group announces the launch of a new hotel project. The hotel will form part of the SK Royal chain, and will be the first modern hotel in Tula. The five star business-class hotel, is destined to become a symbol of hotel real estate in the Tula region. Tashir traditionally acted as the single executer of all of the project's stages: from design to commissioning and management. The volume of the Group’s investments amounted to 900 million roubles. The head of the city administration Evgeniy Avilov, first Deputy Governor of the Tula region Yuri Andrianov, and vice-president of Tashir Group Sergey Badmaev, attended the official launch.
The SK Royal Tula Hotel, with a total area of 15,000 square metres , was erected on the site of the former Tsentralnaya hotel, that dates back to the middle of the twentieth century and had been mothballed for a number of years. Located in the heart of the city, near the offices of the regional government and Central Lenin square, the hotel is oriented towards business clientele who have high demands for the quality of both rooms and service. Nevertheless, it is hoped that the hotel's proximity to the Tula Kremlin and other historical attractions of the city will also bolster the tourist market.
First Deputy Governor of the Tula region Yury Andrianov comments: "The Tula region has a unique and extensive historical and cultural heritage, and is a good example of the implementation of a consistent tourism development policy with attractive investment opportunities in this field. We express our gratitude to Tashir Group as the principal driver of developments in our region, particularly in the capital. I hope in the future our successful cooperation in this direction will continue."
Sergey Badmaev, vice-president of Tashir Group states: "SK Royal Hotel Tula is our tenth project in hospitality real estate, and provides further proof of the success of the Group's diversification into a wide variety of operational sectors. Our new hotel project in Tula is the embodiment of advanced technologies conforming to the best international standards and practices. It is also worth noting the social benefits of the project, because the hotel launch will entail the creation of many new jobs in the city. We are sure that the launch of our hotel will be an important milestone in the implementation of Tula’s long-term tourism development programme, bringing tangible benefits towards the city's development goals.”
Acting Mayor of the city of Tula, Evgeniy Avilov congratulated all those present at the ceremony, praised the quality of Tashir's work and noted that the new SK Royal hotel will contribute to an increase in tourist flow into the city.
In terms of overall quality levels, the SK Royal will be the best hotel in the Tula region. One hundred and fifty spacious rooms ranging from 25 to 150 square metres are located over 7 floors and are divided into six room categories. The rooms are fully equipped to the standard of the entire SK Royal chain.
The hotel's facilities include 3 modern equipped conference halls, with areas of 84 square metres, 91 square metres and 163 square metres respectively, that are able to cater for between 60 to 160 guests; and a restaurant for 100 covers, a bar, a café, and a fitness centre with pool and a spa-salon. The building’s facade has been constructed using natural travertine, whilst the interior of the common areas, together with some rooms, are lined with Spanish marble. The interiors were designed in cooperation with well-known Russian and international design agencies; decoration includes natural materials from the best international manufacturers.
Tashir has set up a management company called SK Hotel Management, which currently manages 5 of the Group’s hotels in Moscow, Yaroslavl, and Kaluga, and also acts as the management company for the SK Royal Tula hotel. Tashir Group has been successfully developing its projects in Tula since 2000 and currently operates both the RIO (since 2010) and Paradize (since 2005) shopping centres in the region.
