Mobile Medical Technologies is named the best integrated digital solution to fight Covid-19

Mobile Medical Technologies, a Tashir Group project, has been recognized by the Eurasian Development Bank’s Digital Initiative Fund as the best integrated digital solution to fight Covid-19.

The contest was launched on September 4, 2020. In the course of three months, a total of 163 projects offering digital solutions to fight the spread and the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic in Eurasia were submitted. On December 4, an award ceremony took place, where four projects received the top awards, including the Online Doctor project by Mobile Medical Technologies.

Mobile Medical Technologies (MMT) proposed to integrate medical institutions of the Eurasian Economic Union countries, creating a single telemedicine platform for online consultations with doctors. This will significantly reduce the burden on local medical institutions, keep the patients safe during the pandemic, and enable the patients to receive telemedicine services from qualified doctors in other countries.

The second idea proposed by MMT is to create a center of excellence (a council of doctors from various EAEU countries), where they can discuss, review and resolve matters related to fighting Covid-19 in Eurasia.

Mobile Medical Technologies plans to launch the digital platform in the EAEU countries. The network will connect public and private clinics, partners and laboratories. After the pandemic, the platform may be rolled out as a digital health care ecosystem for all the EAEU countries.

Online Doctor is a telemedicine service which has been available in Russia since 2015. Over 130,000 consultations have been provided. In March 2020, Online Doctor offered free online consultations on coronavirus preventative measures, as well as instructions for people presenting some of the symptoms or diagnosed with Covid-19. Approximately 1,000 people received free consultations during the campaign. In June 2020, the project expanded its footprint, entering the Kazakh market.
