This July 8, Yaroslavl saw a grand opening of a new RIO Mall in Tutaevskoe Highway. The 64,000 sq.m. GBA mall features 140 stores within its shopping gallery, not to mention the variety of entertainments. RIO project was financed, developed, constructed and consulted by Tashir Group. Tashir will also manage and maintain the object.
The opening ceremony saw VIP guests to include Vladimir Kovalchuk, First Deputy Governor of Yaroslavl region; Andrey Epanishnikov, Deputy Governor of Yaroslavl region; Victor Volonchunas, Mayor of Yaroslavl; and Tigran Kazaryan, Vice President of Tashir Group.
The new RIO is located in Tutaevskoe Highway, Yaroslavl largest artery joining Bragino, the district with the city’s thickest population, and Kirovsky, the business district. The new mall’s catchment area includes over 350,000 citizens. RIO is perfectly accessible; to serve the guests well, a 1,200 car capacity parking lot has been installed.
Anchor tenants include Lenta food hypermarket, Nash Dom DIY hypermarket, M.Video hypermarket of home electronic appliances, Sportmaster sports store, and four-hall Cinema Star. The shopping gallery features stores of leading international and Russian brands, many of those first enter the city here: Zara, Bershka, Pull and Bear, Oysho, Stradivarius, New Yorker, Snezhnaya Koroleva, Forever 18. The new RIO will also host famous brands like L’Etoile, Centro, Gloria Jeans, City Obuv, O’stin, Chester and many more.
Its entertainment component includes four-hall Cinema Star, kids’ entertainment centre, bowling and billiards, five-concept food court, Mancho and Khlebny Dvor restaurants and Comedy Café theme restaurant.
RIO in Tutaevskoe Highway added to Tashir’s portfolio to bring the number of its operating malls to 16 and RIOs, to 10. Project investments totaled 120 million USD.
