Tashir Group announces the opening of its 20th shopping centre under the RIO banner. The new complex is located in Tambov, with a total area of about 25,000 square metres. Tashir was the single contractor for all stages of project implementation: design, construction, brokerage and property management were undertaken by divisions of the Group. The total project investment amounted to 50 million US dollars.
The new RIO shopping centre is located in the heart of Tambov, on Soviet street - the main pedestrian street near the city's Central Park and the embankment of the river Tsna. The complex provides parking for 300 cars. To date, the complex is at 95% leased occupancy, with over 50% of the shops already open and operating. Approximately 90 national and international retail chains are represented over the building's 4 floors. Anchor tenants of the complex include: PlayLab children's entertainment centre; the city's first international clothing brand NewYorker; as well as Modis; FunDay; and the children's shop Korablik.
Sarkis Karapetyan, vice-president of the Group: “"Tashir continues to construct and launch projects at a regional level throughout Russia, providing these cities with a high-quality of retail space. The new RIO complex is the first of its kind in Tambov, and we will exert every effort to make this project the best for the residents of the city."
The gallery of the new RIO centre also houses the following outlets: L'etoile, Oodji, Incity, Kira Plastinina, Adidas, Reebok, AdidasKids, Kari, Makfine, Pandora, YvesRoche, BeFree, LoveRepublic, ConceptClub, Acoola, etc.
The entertainment component of the project includes a 4-screen Cinema Star, a 536 square metres children's Play Lab entertainment centre, a Coffetun cafe and ComedyCafe, as well as a food court featuring Tashir Pizza, Subway, Mybox, Baskin Robbins and McDonald's. The latter is the first in the city to be located within a shopping complex and also includes a summer terrace. By the end of May, it is planned to increase the quantity of operating tenants to 85%, and to hold a celebration event for the residents dedicated to the centre's grand opening.
