On June 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the new building of the Morozov Children’s Hospital together with deputy prime minister for social policies Tatyana Golikova, Health Care Minister Veronika Skvortsova and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin. Tashir Group was the general contractor for the construction project.
Russian President Vladimir Putin inspected the state-of-the-art medical center and talked to its little patients.
The new building of the Morozov Children’s Hospital opened last October. In place of dilapidated buildings for infectious diseases, Tashir has built a new modern building hosting 15 departments, including Moscow’s first center for bone marrow transplantation. The nine-story building of 71,000 square meters has wards for 500 patients. The building is unique in its functional and technological characteristics. In addition, the new building is connected with other hospital buildings by a skyway.
This is not the only construction project implemented by Tashir Group for the Moscow health care system. Since 2015, Tashir has been working on a new perinatal cardiology center, which will be the largest center of this kind in Europe. The new center for 450 patients will offer medical services to pregnant women, postpartum women and infants with cardiovascular conditions and help prevent such conditions in future children at the stage of family planning and in the early stages of pregnancy.
